About the Certification:
The Colorado High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) allows a Doctor of Chiropractic to perform pre-participation sports evaluation (PPE) for middle school and high school athletes. A DC must have an SPC number on file with CHSAA to perform these pre-participation credits.
All of the CCA's Sports Physical courses meet the requirements as outlined by CHSAA and the CCA will be sure CHSAA has your updated SPC number on file following each course. It is a requirement for Chiropractors in the state of Colorado to clear an athlete for sports. Chiropractors must also maintain an active Healthcare level provider CPR card to perform pre-participation physical evaluation (PPE) Physicals.
There is a book (not required) available as a supplement to the training. It can be purchased on Amazon. Click here to view.

Successful passing of a quiz for PPE class is required to obtain/update your CHSAA number. The CCA will send your information to CHSAA at the end of each month to indicate you are certified to perform sports physicals.
