Description

Title:  Advances in The Management of Scoliosis and Kyphosis

Course Synopsis:

The conservative management and treatment of scoliosis and spine deformities has made great advances in recent years.  Chiropractors are frequently the first line of detection and treatment for individuals with spine deformities. Chris Gubbels D.C. will be discussing modern advances in the management of scoliosis and spine deformities.

Learning Points Include:

  • How to properly evaluate & measure scoliosis
  • Determining risk of curve progression
  • Red Flags
  • Goals of treatment for both adolescents and adults
  • Which treatments have been found effective and which have not
  • Case study presentations.

Each participant will walk away with a much better understanding of what scoliosis is, how it progresses and what to do about it.  Research has clearly demonstrated that early detection combined with proper intervention leads to better outcomes.  The know ledge gained from this presentation will benefit both the doctors and their patients.
