Dr. Patricia Kallenbach, DVM
Dr Patricia Kallenbach worked for a conventional veterinarian for several years after her graduation from the University of Florida with her Bachelor’s, Masters and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. In 2002, she opened her own practice, The Healing Place Your Holistic Veterinarian, offering integrative veterinary care that expanded to her current location in Crystal River. Her training and certification in Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation, an instrument based animal adjusting technique, as well as massage, homeopathy, acupuncture, frequency specific low level laser, and ozone therapy, has continued to expand in knowledge and alternative modalities over the last 2 decades. Her initial degrees in nutrition and supplementation started from her Master’s of Agriculture in nutrition and continued to grow into herbal supplementation as well as raw nutrition. Many areas of training are shared between animal and human care.
In 2012, she continued her training to receive her Massage Therapy License, Certification of Personal Training, Specialized Training as a Functional Stability Specialist and opened her second wellness center, this time for people. This facility, The Healing Place Your Holistic Source, located side by side to her veterinary clinic, has also expanded to include not only classic and connective tissue massage, but a new technique, percussor massage, developed by Trish Kallenbach. The facility also offers steam bed therapy for muscle pain and detoxification, ionizing footbath detoxification, and Dry Salt Therapy Booth, also known as HaloTherapy for respiratory health. This center also provides body contouring services such as Zerona Laser, Body Wraps, and Ionithermie for cellulite to trim down and jump start lifestyle changes for weight loss.
Lectures and Workshops to share health for pets and people are offered throughout the year at The Healing Place in Crystal River as well as at teaching seminars for other veterinarians, massage therapists, and local clubs and rescue groups. Open house Saturdays are offered to allow people to try a “bit of everything” and an annual fundraiser for K9s For Warriors occurs each December.
In 2024, Dr, Kallenbach DVM, CVCP, expanded her educational aspect to be selected to by the administrative director and Instructor for VOM Seminars, Inc, to continue the training of Dr. Wm Inman DVM, her mentor and friend, and originator of the Veterinary Orthopedic ManipulationTM technology.
